I think the only way the pitch is frozen is if someone's being throwing ice on it....makes no sense at all

I ve been delivering in Maltby for 4 hours and the temp has been 8 degrees all that time.It will be a tad warmer down in Rotherham Town Centre. It doesn't add up because if it did we'd have been having postponements left right and centre over the last 10 winters whilst being at the NYS.

I'm just glad I checked this thread.
Just finished work and was about to set off for train to Rotherham.
Very disappointed, but at least I wasn't sat on a train when I found out.

I understand that there will be parts of the pitch which dont see direct sunlight, so it must be these areas that are frozen but you would have thought at 8 degrees it would have thawed. We have also played games when its been colder with no problems.

I wonder if the exit stratgey had been updated for the visit of Lincoln as it was useless against Bolton.

If we wanted to play today, then they could have put measures in place to play the game.

What did you say about bloody Arsenal Brin. Just been on Rawmarsh Welfare’s pitch it’s good to soft very playable, no frost covers or groundsman.

I thought this type of grass/pitch was able to withstand a certain level of temperature..a bit surprised by this in all honesty…
