Could absolutely see that being the team today. Need good games from Freeman and Sporle or its another slog.

Sporle's really not very good, but he does offer something different going forward. With a natural left back behind him, he may well do okay today. We really need him & Freeman to work the flanks.

Fairly happy with that team, as long as Clark isn't deployed in midfield.

Will be interesting to see how we're set up then as I can't see it being a 352 as suggested.

We've gone full circle/Melonball - fitting three centre similar centre forwards into the team.

Mellon did play with two wide and one central. Hopefully here Court will play two central and one in behind. That allows Watt to drift towards the left and Clark to link between the midfield and attack

I just don't see it as the long term answer even if it's a two up top and one behind as opposed to three up top, still no pace or physical presence in those 3 strikers, and Clark isn't a midfielder/attacking midfielder. We tried squeezing shanks/clark/mcnulty into side so many occasions last season and it virtually never worked (probably Pittodrie the exception). Also Levitt plays deep for a playmaker, and Butcher doesnt exactly get forward from midfield, so onus totally on wide players to get up the pitch. Fingers crossed though its enough to get past Killie today at least.

Wld have went with glass instead of Clark to start. Sporle baffles me. He goes between doing something decent one moment. Then looks like a fans who’s snuck onto the pitch and doesn’t have a clue!
