    Walking back from shopping.....

... a thought struck me. We have been reading reports that Boro dropped their EFL claim because the EFL "agreed" to go after Derby.

    If that is true....

If the EFL initiated it, would that make it a conspiracy?

If Gibson/Boro initiated it, would that make it bribery or coercion?

    Should that be investigated?

Ah but that's all being denied now isn't it? A misunderstanding. Didn't mean that. But otherwise, yes.

On the subject of Middlesbro, rumour abounds that they are likely to face points deduction for FFP breaches when we get to the 31-03-22 deadline for the 30-06-21 accounts.

Middlesbro lost about 37m in their last accounts, suggesting that they have little chance of keeping within the 3 year 39m loss limit when the 30-06-21numbers are added in.

Unless that is they accrue a large number, perhaps around 45m, compensation claim as football related income in those accounts and show a profit.

Gibson might be a vindictive **** but he also might desperately need some fabricated revenue to stay within FFP.

Wouldn't it be fun if they finish 6th this season, get hit by a points deduction which isn't applied until next season, and get sued by the team in 7th this season. Even more fun if that team is Forest. Careful what you wish for Senor Gibson - what goes around comes around.

Rick Parry, EFL boss, seems to disagree with you....

My understanding is that EFL are backtracking from that **** (being the past participle of twitter, as opposed to a definition of Parry)

Parry said what he said. Can't take it back although they are trying (very). Might the threat of legal action from Boro be the main driver of things for them?
