Nothing sinister about it. Salmond based his whole image for competence on free bus passes for the elderly. Straight out of every political parties' playbook. Bribe the electorate. Only trouble is SNP only need to win once and the electorate can't change it back. Westminster you can vote the other lot our if you don't like what they are doing.
Seems to me we should vote SNP for Westminster and any other party for Holyrood. See what influence the Greens have exerted over the SNP at Holyrood.
Imagine if Labour had to do a deal with the SNP at Westminster. Can't happen but maybe it should?
