Clocking is definitely ticking, agree that the noises coming from ER dont sound promising on any 1st team players joining - no doubt another 18 yr old will join, go into U23 squad, then a year later leave or go on loan.
Massive gamble by club if we do not add, especially with other teams around us, likely to strengthen.
All the talk is that they are happy with the under 23s they have acquired and the future looks rosy. But heads on youngsters pulled off, leaving says otherwise. If they are so happy what are they learning in the under 23s?In the old days of reserves football, they got to play against real men, and develop, this system is crap as someone pointed out not many academy players get to play premier league.
I'm all for not bringing anyone in as long the under 23s when they play and perform as they have proven are not taken seriously by the hierarchy.
We hear Leeds has played the most under 23s in the league but failed to mention that we have no one else to play.
Again on the weekend, we saw his preferred method and loyalties so give us a spell.
Perhaps Brexit is the best thing to happen to football in England as players can't come and go as they please and we get to see more Englishman play the game they developed.
Let's hope we can still off the under 23's premiership football next season and not championship.
How they can be "happy" with the U23s when the only reason they get promoted to 1st team appearance is when we have so many 1st team players injured? The ONLY reason LUFC has a record (this season) of playing youth squad players is the appalling injury list, and that's clearly illustrated by the abysmal decision to bring on the waste of space that is Tyler Roberts during last Saturdays game, instead of someone who actually knows how to play PL football (e.g. Bate, Gelhardt etc).
When we get the injured players back, watch the door close on all those in the junior squads, and don't be surprised when summer comes and many seek pastures new, because they don't like being relegated to bench-warming when the likes of Rodrigo get game time (contrary to what HO seems to be quite happy with).
We're getting rock all in transfer wise. Nobody. Instead, they're gonna cross fingers, legs and toes - praying we sprockle through to stay up. Maybe they are happy enough we go down with the windfall which accompanies our potential demise - plus the extra £Ms from the sale of Philips and Raphinha. I wanna cry. Feckd off.

'If' your interested - Mario Balotelli, 31, back in Italy squad this evening for first time since 2018 & is on fire.
Averaging a goal every 153mins for Süper Lig club Adana Demirspor.
Plays to win even 'tho his own teammates don't know what he's gonna do as well as the opposition - interesting bench option & pupil for MB.
Suits Rad & co pocket & good Mad forum fodder.
"if" only - but we are Leeds.

You think that there is even the faintest hint of real entrepreneur about any of our executive (owner, CEO, or any other executive member?). They are businessmen, a very different animal, and unlikely ever to take the kind of chances that the likes of Cellino may have taken in similar circumstances (remember Diouf?)
Orta and co. wouldnt know how to take that kind of chance, preferring the kind of nonesense that brought (amongst others) ineguchi, buoy, sloth, Anita, Grot, Casilla, JKA (well, almost), and most costly, Rodrigo as failed experiments.
