    And yet we manage this....

    https://motleedsnews.com/exclusives/...-ffp-problems/

How much of that loss relates to costs incurred as a result of the incurred via stupidity in previous years (including the abortive "relationship" with Cultured Leonard, lest that be forgotten).

Nonesense of the highest order, coupled with the equally failed "relationship with our Middle East "partners" that has delivered precisely nothing and cost a lot!

Seemed at lot of click bait conjecture in that article - all of it predicated on us being relegated and the 2021 figures being the same as the 2020 ones - which they won’t be due to PL cash.

Not saying it is a bed of Roses but there was very little in that article in terms of detsil.

Just get the feeling, with injury position improving albeit slowly, Gelhardt / Hjelde, looking capable in 1st team, that will sway things, to zero incomings, at least major signings. Not until May, will the business or lack of it, decide things.

You do live up to your nickname.

There is a comment in the article regarding the possible effects of relegation, hardly something that can be ignored.

So the other figures are either audited fact from previous years, or the result of a close analysis of current year financial performance (which aligns very neatly with the club's apparent decision not to spend anything in the transfer window), so hardly a "lot of click bait" and certainly with more factual substance than your continual assertions about who will get played and how good they will be (even to the extent that you still won't see that Roberts is just a waste of space, pure and simple).

The current squad is running on empty, having tried to maintain the kind of performance they put in during the first season back in the PL, and burnt out in the process resulting in the plethora of injuries of all sorts to all kinds of players. The coach has only played the lads from the U23s etc because he has had no choice, and when there IS choice he reverts to type and brings back Rodrigo and Roberts with the inevitable result (not only a loss but a serious dent in the enthusiasm of the younger players who aren't stupid and can see what happens as well as we can).

So, we aren't likely to see "incomings", and neither (once th injury situation improves) are we likely to see more of Gelhardt, Bate, etc. How is that likely to help us retain PL status?

And btw, 20/21 is likely to be much the same as 21/22, as we have been in the PL for both seasons. the only change being that we have a degree or fan "returns" in 21/22.

It is short on detail is all I am saying and based upon IF we get relegated. If we get relegated we are basically friar tucked so I agree with the sentiment.

Don't really align with your scoop WTF - interesting as it is.

Plenty of ways for permanent deals nowadays, often masked as loan deals in order to avoid breaking FFP rules for starters with terms to suit all parties & don't mention JKA as more to that than is published.
Likewise plenty of ways for Owners to find money.

What do 'you' want now & looking forward your strategy wise scenario ?
Kids vying for places among decent grounded squad players I'd applaud.
No prima-donnas with selfish attitude surely a big plus to.
A young squad with some market value.

Good to let people know our limit transfer wise so clubs with our 'offers' in know they're not going to screw more out of us.
To be honest all the article is stating is what I've & others have said finance wise & relegation wise to - still don't think we'll go down regardless.

For me, if you've agreed a deal to sell your house with fittings at a future date why the hell are you going to pay for further improvements - Rad's Italian, lives in West London, has a young family with stated plans to retreat from day to day living before the age of 50, he's now 47.

Bigger pictures behind the scenes as always - possibly changes at the top a cert, maybe team management as well, so current strategy expected in all circumstances.

Think Bamford is done for the year. Not looking forward to Cooper coming back. Strujik is better.

However Phillips will likely come back with a vengence as Raph is playing for his choice of the best teams in the world. Think it will make the difference.

Nothing available now is likely to make a difference given how and what MB demands of players. They won't be able to come in and play/make a difference.
