    The Trippier impact

Been mentioned by others way before today but being reported that Dele Alli fancies a move here and Trippier has sold the move to him. Now this specific rumour may have no truth but Keiran Tripper could go down in history as not only our first signing of the new era but also the gateway signing for many others to follow. There was a decent montage of his match highlights at Elland Road on MOTD last night if anyone hasn’t watched it yet.

Good friends with Lingard as well so hopefully both will sign this week.

If Howe agrees with Shearer that Trippier is captain material and Lascelle's is out for a while with a hamstring injury it could solve a big problem for us. That is our captain being our worst player for most of the season

Yes, those two in and Trippier with the armband would be a decent improvement for the next game (plus at least one centre half obviously).

Them two nutmeg passes he did yesterday were class. The first one was a straight up violation, the Leeds players just stood there like they'd been embarrassed at training.

Aye - his friendships could stand us in very good stead.

It's amazing what bringing in a player with a winning mentality can do.

I'll never forget what "Killer" Kilcline did for this club in the short time he was here. If any player can emulate his passion and winning mentality he will be a nailed-on hero.

I saw Killer in Morrison’s, Whitley Bay (probably still Safeway back then) when he was up here - didn’t dare go anywhere near him
