Newcastle United supporters have spotted a good indication that the club has hired a new board member.

Newcastle were taken over by Saudi Public Investment Fund in October, following a £320 million buyout of Mike Ashley.

The group owns 80 percent of the St James’s Park club.

On the pitch, the Magpies are nowhere near the finished article but the same applies to their off-the-pitch personnel.

That’s because Newcastle have seemingly hired Golf Saudi CEO Majed Al Sorour to become a board member.

Al Sorour announced via his Linkedin page that he has taken up the role in the North East.

He has previously been spotted at Newcastle matches since the takeover and this would indicate he has officially come aboard.

Can only be a good thing to my mind.
