Yesterday was not one of the best for the Prime Minister. The story about the Muslim ex Cabinet Minister had broken the previous day but it really gathered momentum yesterday. Then a Treasury minister in The House Of Lords very publicly resigned and walked out to a round of applause. Then ITV News broke a story of yet more lockdown sins. Yet he is a latter day MaCavity.
Final verse of T.S. Elliott's 'MaCavity, The Mystery Cat' :-
Macavity, Macavity, there’s no one like Macavity,
There never was a Cat of such deceitfulness and suavity.
He always has an alibi, and one or two to spare:
At whatever time the deed took place—MACAVITY WASN’T THERE!
And they say that all the Cats whose wicked deeds are widely known
(I might mention Mungojerrie, I might mention Griddlebone)
Are nothing more than agents for the Cat who all the time
Just controls their operations: the Napoleon of Crime!

I’m not personally a great fan of politics, for me there all as bad / bent as each other…

Boris hasn’t done himself any favours recently but if I’m honest, I think he has done a pretty good job coping with the last 2 years covid wise… Teresa May I had no time for either, David Cameron was ok & Tony Blair did a good job despite the outcry on his knighthood recently…

Who would do a good job looking at the vultures circling in the Tory party & Starmer is a step up from Corbin on the other side but look at the US… Trump not liked in a lot of ways but made decisions and to hell with consequences… Biden is a gibbering idiot… one extreme to the other…

No thanks.. I would only vote if someone promised to raise the higher tax rate to £150k and tax the rich not the poor…

Frank’s a Tory. I’m sure there are some good ones, somewhere, and he might even perhaps have met one. Possibly.
