My call has been answered, a French journeyman last playing in Malaysia following stints in Slovakia and Vietnam! Much more like it. Glory awaits!
Logically it's obviously a good thing that for the first January in who knows how long we have a vaguely functional squad which doesn't need a radical overhaul but it's awful boring...even some gossip would help pass the dark hours, there must be an unknown Hungarian midfielder we could be linked to or a Dutch wonderkid?

Victor Nirennold is yer man. Signed until the end of the season, formerly played for Alexander at Fleetwood Towm. Right-sided defender.

Big, strong and fast so seems to fit the Alexander type for defenders. Whether he can play football a different matter.
That’s a strange signing surely? Unless the club know that Mugabi will be leaving before the end of the month.
If we are going to be signing any players just now then surely we need to be breaking the habit of (what it seems) a lifetime and bringing in a forward type player to at least attempt to replace Watt??? Otherwise we are just filling up our already ‘workmanlike yet awful to watch side’ with more of the same.
In the games that I've managed to watch here on ESPN, it seems that our main threat is either the pace of Woolery or Watt/KvV who put in a great shift, holding up the ball and bringing others into play. With Watt gone, it's a load on KvV/Roberts. I would tend to agree that we need another quick/creative front player (someone who can play out wide would also be good), rather than a defender.
I'd assume a forward coming too despite what GA says.
We've no idea on the defence due to Alexander's approach to team news. Ojala and Solholm clearly fragile though, Lamie has been out for months, Mugabi limped off after County apparently...the fact we played Carroll at CB there v Morton suggests all is not well there at least short-term.
Is it coincidence that Bevis is missing a few days before Jan 31st? And, the noise from his Ugandan supporters is all but mute ...
