"The British public is not interested in your question. What they want to know ......

..... about is how we are continuing to impressively deal with the Covid situation, which we have done very well with. We got the vaccines very quickly ......" etc.

The fact is that there is a table of statistics. It lists the the number of deaths from Covid per million of population of each country. The UK is 195th of 224 worldwide countries. There are are 194 countries which have had fewer deaths per million of population than the UK has had. Given that for at least a quarter of a century the UK economy has been the 5th / 6th most powerful on the planet this goverment's anti-Covid performance has been utterly lamentable. For this reason alone this government does not deserve to be in power.

So, the next time that you hear the Prime Minister or any Cabinet Minister or any Conservative MP boasting about how well the government has coped with Covid, citing the quick rollout of the vaccinations, bear in mind the above.

Statistics can be manipulated in many ways…

How many islands are in that list, South Georgia as an example…

What is the capita per land mass etc & is North Korea on the list?

Anything that can be called a country or territory is on the list, such as Vatican City, The Isle Of Man, America, Russia, China etc.

    I agree again Stefan.

They continually try to deceive the public. It has been handled badly in the UK from the start.

Link to Worldometer version of stats attached.

As of yesterday UK 30th worst in the world on a like for like basis (deaths per million) out of 225 countries shown.

UK is ranked 5th for number of cases. That is only 4 countries in the world have recorded more cases.

If you click at the top of the column headed Tot Cases/1 M pop it puts the countries in ranking order for cases per 1 million.

If you click on any of the column headings it sorts the whole table into ascending sequence of that column's values. If you again click the same column heading it sorts the whole table into descending sequence of that colum's values. Thus what Howoldboy and I have stated is correct. To conclude otherwise would be to misunderstand the table.
