I read a lot of posts across many media outlets and people post about how they are going to strenghten the First Team in a few years time. I'm not knocking the U23's as most will still be developing but lets not forget so will the other teams.

Some of them that have played do look good, Joffy, Cresswell, Hjelde and Bate to name a few, but I think quite a lot will never really make it into the main squad.

As I said, not knocking them but would like to hear others thoughts if investing so heavily in the youngsters is truely the way ahead
They have injuries. JG and bate even though didn't play the last game they didn't even turn up for the last game. The weird selection there just as our first team.

Joffy was watching from the stands and supporting them.

Not a weird selection Jackson picks from what is left after the first team tell him what their needs are.

Nah always been a winger - he left Rennes as he wasn’t happy that they signed Doku also a right winger and seemed to prefer Doku as a starter

    *FACTS FORUM-POLICE ALERT*

On 5 October 2020, Raph joined Leeds on a 4 year contract for an undisclosed fee in the region £17m/€20.5m from Rennes.

On 5 October 2020, Doku signed for Rennes for 5 years, for £21.6m/€26 million in addition to bonuses payable to Anderlecht of Belgium.

Raphinha at Rennes - was a left-footed playmaker who performed his role effectively on either wing or in a more central attacking midfield position. At times he popped up on the left-wing while he also played in the ‘10’ position on occasion during the 2019/20 campaign. However, the 23-year-old playmaker was primarily found on Les Rouge et Noir’s right-wing last season in formations similar to Bielsa & Guardiola.

It may be fair to say that then Head Coach Julien Stéphan was quite devoted to the 4-4-2 formation throughout the 2019/20 campaign. The 39-year-old coach set his Rennes side up in a 4-4-2 shape in 59.4% of their Ligue 1 fixtures that season.

Glad to see you are continuing to post 👍

The perfect Bielsa player - a right winger who is left footed, can play on either wing and can come inside if needed.

There must be a reworking of the Blur song and the lines
    girls who want boys
Who like boys to be girls
Who do boys like they’re girls
Who do girls like they’re boys

… to explain the MB love of wingers who he then plays elsewhere 😎

    My posting scenario ?

To start a new Post is different to contributing 'within' a Thread posted by another so different agendas for me.

Always happy to chip in as previously stated but my starter Posts often did create debates which got out of control & left me often 'feeling' uneasy - hence my comments & promise recently to WTF about NOT making a new Post to start threads.

For me, details really do matter sometimes in my approach when commenting which obviously makes some uncomfortable - laughable to some but not for me as my brain operates differently in its responses to thoughts, memory & retrieval of relevant facts.

When media-writers quote "Leeds support state this" & "Leeds support state that" - they're obtaining 'that-info' from boards such as this in creating their scoop. Freedom of expression is an important factor of the country I now live formed via the French Revolution leading to the 1789 Declaration of the Rights of Man doctrine.

However - the UK now has a stricter PC political policy & possibly why many football forums are ultimately disintegrating sadly as debate for many is over PC controlled.

Honestly think Leeds Mad has the right balance, with more folks popping in recently with great opinions to debate who prior did not - hope more will follow now.

As a female I also appreciated traditional 'chivalrous' support which at times was vocal & reassuring, some on forum, many via its pm's & other by email. Thank you to those as it helps my grey matter keep in sync.

If WTF is reading this then pm me.
