Awful news. I used to be late back to school on Thursdays when Grampian TV screened Jokers Wild at lunchtime, with Baz chairing it.
The best raconteur of anecdotes I ever witnessed.
I was recommended his (son Bob’s really) podcast less than a month ago, and they’ve been the funniest listens going. Guests Stephen Fry and Danny Baker (2 episodes each to capture all the badinage), Miriam Margolyes and Sanjeev Bhaskar were a hoot.
