Seems dead simple to me.

We need an immediate "like for like" replacement for Wood. Tick box.

We need a bit more quality in midfield and find a player who can score goals. Tick box.

By all accounts we have two good players in and still have £5 million left to send to the Dry Powder Room.

And PLEASE do not tell me SD has not sanctioned these deals.

Pace, despite the constant sniping and criticism seems more than capable and willing to put his arse on a boat, train or plane and get these deals over the line.

Whilst I normally agree with you BT, I don’t agree about “like for like” with Wood. I think we need to move on from that style of play to having pace up front to trouble centre backs. I would prefer another Cornet type player who has the pace to run at defenders, turn them, make life uncomfortable.

A high percentage of times, Pope kicks long, the forwards do not win the ball and we have immediately given back possession. In the case of Woods, he was often offside. Somehow we have to be able to play it through the middle to have more possession and, hopefully, create more chances.

Exactly Swiss- we have needed a new vision for a few seasons!
Everyone else has moved on, and regardless of the budget available the fare "served up" wouldn't have changed

I love Burnley Football Club but some of the current goings-on really baffle me.

We are sleepwalking into the Championship and the hierarchy really do not seem to give a flying f*ck.
