Bruno Guimaraes: Newcastle signing likened to Kevin de Bruyne

If he has half the ability of De Bruyne we've got a player on our hands:

Need to surround him with quality to see the best of him though i think. Some players hit the ground running and others take a while to shine

    Decent report that.

Hopefully with some of hte players we're aiming to get we'll have players that can run on to his pinpoint passing.

He might support ASM doing even better, as ASM might not feel the need to do everyhting himself.

I think he is more defensive than him but does break forward and can pick a pass.

He came on for the last 15 minutes for Brazil last night. Admittedly he was playing in a strong team with good players around him but I was very impressed. He was everywhere, made an assist, had a shot over the bar and made intelligent runs.
As an aside Almiron did nothing of note for Paraguay.

I can't wait to see him and the rest of the newcomers in action with what is left of the best of the squad once they have had time to blend in and get to know each other's game.

Assuming all of the newcomers are going to start then that's more than half of a totally new team.

Looking forward to seeing Bruno against Everton hopefully.

If we can attract players of that calibre when we're in the bottom 3 imagine who we can bring in in the summer if we stay up

I heard he complained that the other Lyon players were reacting too slowly to his play, Not running into positions he wanted quick enough. I think our lot will be way behind his footballing brain.

Maybe not ASM. . . Maybe.

Also, whilst I'd like to see him play against Everton, I reckon he'll start on the bench, he's apperently not getting back to the UK till Saturday.

Oh dear... With our lot he will be lucky to get a response within the same game.
