    Matty Longstaff

    He has joined my local club Mansfield on loan.I might go and watch him.

    That's nice, Sherwood - maybe you can update us on him as the season progresses.

    Personally, I have my doubts we'll ever see him a Toon shirt again. He's been loaned out to a League Two Club and I just don't see how he fits into a team that - hopefully - going the places we are. Same with his brother, to be honest.

    Don't get me wrong, I like them both. I just don't think Matty has the level when it comes down to it.

    Unless we get relegated.

    I find it slightly mad he's gone to League 2, I really think he can do better than that but at least he'll get playing time.

    I suspect you might be right thought Hughie, not sure we'll see him in a toon top again - even if we get relegated.

    Apprently there was another club he was supposed to be going to but fell through at the last minute and Mansfield swooped.

    Wonder who the other club was, I reckon was higher than League 2 personally.

    Both of the Longstaff’s have no pace, no vision and I’ve seen milk turn quicker. Sorry but Division 2 is about both their standards.
