    Rate the players

Not player rating. Just rate the players from best to not the best (could still be good), with number 1 beeing the best.

    I would go:

    1. Trippier
    2. Maximin
    3. Fraser
    4. Willock
    5. Joelinton
    6. Targett
    7. Shelvey
    8. Schar
    9. Lascelles
    10. Wood
    11. Dubravka
    Subs:
    12. Manquillo
    13. Guimarăes
    14. Murphy

I thought Joelinton was poor mind..

Give him his due, he has been OK last few games.. however I'd be inclined to play Shelvey/Willock/Bruno trio and leave Joelinton out

Can’t argue with that although Dubs did nothing wrong and I’m trying to remember if he had a save to make.

I thought Joe played well. Bad miss but he got stuck in and showed some great touches. He was a handful for Everton IMO.

I thought Joe had a very good game. It's when he's near the opposition box that things go tits up for him. Further back, tackling and closing down is his game

Apart from his laughable attempt, JoLo was part of a stern midfield that they couldn't slice through last night.

To me, it was definitely a solid battling performance. There were plays when he wasn't great but spells where he was good.

Lascelles also has a decent game IMHO. He had his tail up an applied two eye catching tackles on the wing where he wouldn't have got there first without a bit of pace. Scored with a super strong header hitting the bar and then OG. Had the potential to be the weakest link last night but wasn't.

The whole team stepped up a gear, only weakness was Wood who was anonymous for periods of the game, and could have scored. As already said Trippier outstanding, and Lascelles benefiting from his experience, Lascelles was awesome and some of his tackles brilliant. He looked determined, and had a great game, credit where it’s due fellas. Same again against the Vile.

Am I the only one who noticed how many times JoLo actually broke Everton's play and stopped them from going forward? He's doing some of the important dirty work, perhaps that's why he gets a bit of stick as people expect more glamour from him, but he was very solid in the midfield yesterday.
