Just built a snowman with the neighbours' 4 year old daughter. Her parents wouldn't, so I stepped in - great fun!

You should have used snow, it's much more effective.

We were under a good six inches of snow by lunchtime, watched the racing from Haydock this aft, not a sign of any snow, watched City v Spurs at tea-time, not a sign of any snow. How can you be building snowmen in Clitheroe and Bolton, but there's not a trace of the stuff just down the road in Haydock and Manchester ?

    I blame Brexit.

The son-in-law who lives six miles south of Bolton could not believe it when I said it was impossible to meet him and the kids for lunch because we were snowed in and building a snowman! The North West Pennines are brutal when it comes to unexpected snow storms.
