I know it has been posted before more than once but I continue to see folk alone in their own cars fully masked up, what the hell for? But to beat that, the other day I watched a guy who lives near me spend 20 minutes in his own garden clearing snow from his path with a mask on all the time during which only the postie walked up the road past him c. 20 feet away. Weird or what?

You see a lot of taxi drivers in their cars (often electric cars) with no passengers on board but wearing face masks - you have to ask why.

Back in the day somebody could get into a taxi coughing and spluttering and the driver would give it 'oh, bit of a sniffle there', before prattling on about the time they had flu but just went to bed with a hot water bottle then back out in the taxi next day, but they would never have even considered reaching for a face mask or the equally pointless hand sanitiser.
