However anyone who signs up to one of Octopus’s Green electricity tariffs will not receive 100% electricity which has come entirely from renewable electricity generating sources as everyone in the U.K. gets their electricity from the National Grid which is from a mix of oil, gas, nuclear, hydro and renewable electricity generating sources.
Anyone who thinks that they are receiving 100% Green electricity in their home because they have signed up to Green electricity billing tariff are being misled.
didn't realise that but I think they have been fair with me on price increases so far. My mum (80) had switched everything off in her home due to SSE - back on and a nice not very affordable plan mind you but about a 50% decrease in monthly payments. You are welcome for the apology as I was weeelll off track there

Govt responsibilities for me are housing, health, defence, being self sufficient in food, being self sufficient in energy.

I think the UK would be ok at one of the above but hope it's never tested

Scotland are guid at none of them.

How should housing be organised? Genuine question. Do independent housing associations play a big part in the provision of social housing? Where does council owned housing fit in to the mix.

No problem. There are a lot of people being conned into signing up for a Green electricity tariff when their electricity comes from the National Grid.

As far as Argyll and Bute Council are concerned their council housing division has been transferred to Housing Associations where the bosses who award themselves large salaries when they are just glorified parts of former Argyll and Bute housing division.
Housing associations who are bankrolled by the Scottish Government and local authorities no longer have to answer Freedom of Information requests.
