Hollywood have portrayed a fair few English baddies in their time but has that really tarnished the image of English folk? You couldn't really have a Welsh, Irish or Scottish baddy in an American movie....but then again, you couldn't really have anything other than a posh Englishman play that role. Could you imagine a big Hollywood movie with a Geordie baddie!

    I agree WCV.

Visiting America I found the Yanks to be very friendly.

The Aussies were even better, I thought I’d hate them ( based on sporting rivalry) but I absolutely loved them and I could live there without a problem.

No yobbish youths either, the culture is far better than ours.

It actually US that are the problem a lot of the time, too high of an opinion of ourselves.

They are friendly while taking your money, most corner shop owners are too.
When you go as a tourist you only see the nice areas, just like when tourists come here. They see Windsor, Windermere and Cornwall. They don't see Toxteth or Moss Side.

I noticed that around the pub last night one of the event's coming up is Saint Patrick's Day. I have been to a couple before, everyone pretends they are Irish, wear a green hat and drink Guinness. They all sing Irish folk songs usually to a band.
I doubt they will have a St Georges Day event. The police would soon be around to round up all of the Nazis. That's what we are Nazis, planting bombs in pubs etc.
F ucking pathetic, the people need to grow a pair and stop pandering to people who might have their feely weelings hurt.
Stop taking the knee for a gangster as well.

Disgusted at Hull! No tribute to stand with Ukraine and the knee bollox just by West Brom
Players for a druggie gangster not even in this country. Hull declined to take the knee and their supporters clapped them,

Enough is enough get rid of taking the knee bollox and if black players want to do this - hey what about in the dressing room! I would welcome more supporter bans for racism but not for the pathetic taking the knee which actually takes the message backwards!
