Anyone want to buy a ticket for next Thursday. Happen it’ll rain!
I thought England fought hard, showed plenty of spirit. Really made the South Africans work for every wicket!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree, entertaining and crowd pleasing and, to date, quite effective but disaster is inevitably your close companion. Root and Bairstow have revelled in the freedom it offers but it appears that good old grit and digging in when that disaster strikes is frowned upon!
Today, the impression was that losing is OK so long as you do it with a giggle. All SA had to do was play 'Test Cricket' with a 94mph bowler and a 'serious' spinner and win the match whilst our circus clowns provided the laughs! If we are going down this route why not pick the one day team who are better adapted for bish bash??
Oh dear, I must be getting old!!
Well someone should’ve snapped that up. Just back from Old Trafford after one of the best and most enjoyable days of cricket I’ve experienced for a long time. Perfect weather, great stuff from the bowlers and well played Zak Crawley...determined, gutsy performance and looked like a Test opener at last.
I'm betting on a swish outside off stump within 20 minutes tomorrow morning, undoing today's hard work

Crawley ...17 off 77 balls, a strike rate of 22! I like it but he's now been given 100 lines to the effect... 'I'm a naughty boy, I must play bish bash'!
Glad you enjoyed the day rA, it rained most of the morning here some of it very heavy! Let's hope we avoid the customary collapse tomoz and we might build a score!
