I think it’s waiting on his own people turning on him, families of dead soldiers, and lack of food in shops is what they are relying on

The aggressive expansion of NATO did not help.

Plus we should not be closing all exit routes by saying he's going on trial, never give the bully no options.

We AHH ken nut jobs who you just wouldn't want to provoke.

Ukraine will end up split......nuclear Armageddon avoided for now

Surprised that the population of Ukraine is 44m. Those leaving seem to be about 2m. NATO have been poking the bear but I think it is as a result of the requests from the former Soviet countries who "escaped" to form their own political leaderships.
Looks to me that Crimea and access to the ports might be the solution. Like the partition of Cypress which came about when Turkey came to the aid if Turkish Cypriots after a military coup backed by Athens.
Need to look at the maps to see what Putin is really after.

Putin is like the Woke generation who want to rewrite history.
Putin wants to go back to the days of USSR and all the former Warsaw Pact countries returning to the protection of the USSR.
These days are long gone as the residents of the former Warsaw Pact countries plus Ukraine have enjoyed the trappings of a Western lifestyle and they have no intention of returning to living under the Russian yoke.

Putin wants a land border from Russia to Crimea which he stole in 2014.

So he does not need all of Ukraine? What about Latvia Lithuania and Estonia? Seems like politicians should be able to talk about this. NATO was the approach made by these countries to try to ensure that they had some guarantee of their continuing independence from Russia. The worry is that he has annexed Crimea can't remember what he did in Georgia and if he isn't stopped at the Ukraine then why would he change his ways?
Not really impressed with economic sanctions. Seems likely that there will be major difficulties for all European countries and I think we should be starting to think about fuel and food security rather than trying to build a green economy.

He might not but he knows it's game over (for the world) if he invades a NATO country.

Was reading something a few weeks back a war games thing, computer modelling 😁😁😁 mind of that .....predicting the results of hundreds of different conflicts for the rest of the world.......like a pools panel result for war.....Russia invades Ukraine..... home win country partitioned 13% chance of nuclear war.
