    Blackpool v Swansea

Let us move on from that demoralising defeat on Tuesday night, as we have had to do several times in this season of turmoil on the pitch, where being trounced by the opposition has become annoyingly frequent under this coach and his kamikaze tactics.
Next game it’s newcomers to the Championship, Blackpool, L1 play-off winners last season and doing well so far. In our home fixture we could only draw with them, so hoping to go one better today.
Inevitably Manning’s red card appeal was turned down on Thursday and he’s been ruled out for 4 instead of 3 matches after being sent off for the second time this season, he will be a big miss.
Some good news though as Ogbeta is in the squad for the first time and Wolf is back after Covid isolation. Downes has also recovered after limping off against Fulham.
Good luck to the team and the estimated two thousand Jack Army supporters who are making the long trip.

Don’t forget Christie who was a big miss on Tuesday night, unable to play against his parent club.
He’s back today and also don’t forget the influence Downes has had, we missed his defensive cover of the back four when he limped off at half-time
First half 11 v 11 we more than held our own against Fulham before Manning’s moment of madness.
I’ll go for the draw today.

    FT: 1-0
An early goal after 4 minutes settled the match. Swans had no idea how to break down a resolute defence and could have lost by more.
Possession for possessions sake has been the theme of matches throughout this season, 76% this match mostly in our own half and it’s become tiresome.

Extended highlights, ref ignores Ekpiteta impeding Grimes and Christie to enable Madine to score.

It was right in front of the ref, it was an intentional block, it’s what they do and Martin was aware of it beforehand and still they fell for it.
It was a clear foul and the goal should not have been allowed.
They had many other chances to score so we need to play a lot better than that to get anything out of games.
