To take care of the top six darlings.
What is the point of it?
To take care of the top six darlings.
It's amazing how it works for some clubs but not for others.
Just another layer of refereeing incompetence.
I've actually got no complaints. I'd just like VAR gone but it's here to stay. With or without it: you win some, you lose some.
It’s a necessary addition to the game but it’s being managed very badly. The technology is fantastic but the incompetence of some using it is baffling.
How the ref isn’t called to relook when the defender is holding the attacker’s shirt in the box is hard to understand. He also made contact with his leg — clearly.
Incompetence? Bias? Who knows? But it’s human error that’s the problem. Let’s remember that the ref on the pitch (who looked weak and had a poor game) also didn’t call it.
As for the person who can review several times on VAR? Hard to understand.
Simple fix:
Replace “Clear and obvious error”
With:
“Arrive at the correct decision”
Fûck sake, how difficult is that?
Same referee who didnt send Martinez off early in the season for almost kicking Wilsons head off.
When the penalty wasn’t given, I wasn’t even phased - I thought, no worries, 100% going to be overturned (like the Man City game when the keeper wiped out Fraser) and just like the City game, couldn’t believe it wasn’t. Total incompetence.
Absolutely none whatsoever. I would honestly rather loose a game because of a ref missing something due to the speed of the game or being influenced by a home crowd than someone sat Infront of a slow motion replay getting decisions horribly wrong. How these people are in jobs I have no fu(king idea. The majority of time they don't even make a fu(king decision and send it back to the ref. How can you be sat Infront of a screen watching a slow motion replay of something quite blatant and still either get it wrong or not be able to make a decision? It's need a complete overhaul of how it's used and the officials that are allowed to use it but that won't happen.
