    Newport pre match

I hope we continue the run but wouln't be surprised if we don't in front of about 4,800 crowd.

A full programme of games. Even if we win and the 3 teams (H'gate, B'ford W'sall) above us lose we won't change position due to goal difference.

    Bristol Rovers v Colchester
    Carlisle v Newport County
    Exeter v Crawley
    Forest Green v Leyton Orient
    Hartlepool v Bradford
    Port Vale v Mansfield
    Rochdale v Salford
    S****horpe v Barrow
    Stevenage v Northampton

    Swindon v Sutton
    Tranmere v Harrogate
    Walsall v Oldham

I would be happy with a point tbh,Newport would have done their homework on the Northampton game and as they won't want to go the same way,a draw will keep the momentum going but a win would be fantastic

The defence looks a bit creaky

The bottom 5 managed only one goal between them on Saturday and that was Scunthorpe in their loss to Colchester. It's difficult to get three points if you cannot score. I stick by my knife-edge prediction that 45 points will be one point more than the team finishing 23rd gets.

Eleven games left to play and nine points clear of the drop so you look to be in a good position, the only trouble is the new manager bounce that you are having,it doesn't last forever as Oldham will testify plus as it gets to the final half a dozen games and panic starts to set into the bottom six clubs there's usually some unpredictable scores going in on a Saturday at 4.45pm

If the current bottom 4 get one point per game from now until the end of the season this is how it would finish :-

    45 Barrow
    44 Stevenage
    --------------
    43 Oldham
    34 Scunthorpe

Of Barrow, Stevenage and Oldham I do not expect all three to reach 45 points. Maybe one or two of them will do.

Surely Scunny must be out of it now, apart from being 16 points behind Carlisle they have a far worst goal difference so this leaves one spot to avoid,it looks a lot better than a month ago
