In the present circumstances we needed two.

Another target striker - Ashley Ward.
An older midfield general - Jan Molby.
Just two (I’m really wanting to swear repeatedly here - but refraining).
That’s all what was needed - because the rest of the squad is sound.

But the owners refused - and that’s the most annoying and frustrating thing about this season.
Two f****ing players !!!!
The owners are either not smart enough or are too penny pinching to add that bit of older quality to help the younger guys.

I was thinking the same earlier Nudger, when I was asking about the workrate that Ashley Ward used to put in as our main 'frontman'.
There was more than just scoring goals to him, his effort was sorely missed when he left us.
And yeah Id also put Carlton Morris in that same category, if only we could tempt him to stay in Lg one ehh and try to build summat around him.

Les Lee on the wing bought from Cardiff was a star for me as a young boy - we are desperate today for a quality wide player.

Where did Eddie Loyden come from? another player who would be great to see starting up front for us now in our quest to stay afloat in the Championship.
