    Favourite pre-match pub/scran

    Where's yours?

(when I get the chance to go), it's a choice of two:

Either the Collingwood in Jesmond-decent beer and the chilli fries are bloody lush.

Or, Pani's on High Bridge followed by the Bacchus, where thw beer is fantastic.

Like Rosies and the Newcastle Arms. Nee scran but the atmospheres' good. The chinese restaurant opposite Rosies is quite good for quickness.

Agree about the Chinese opposite Rosie's pub,I get carry outs there when I'm stopping up the Toon, the scran is better than most bigger restaurants in Chinatown.

Either people's tastes are totally different to mine or they are slaves to advertising.Just beside the Black Garter there was a queue in Greggs while I walked into a nearly empty Bowyers just a couple of doors down.
While they had their sausage rolls I had a choice of chicken, beef or pork in hot gravy or hot bacon or sausage sandwiches. They also had pies ham sarnies etc.
