I hope the deal, if/when one is eventually agreed, puts enough cash up front to avoid the -15 as I'm convinced that would be next season, not this. IIRC, it's applied when a club exits admin if they haven't reached the minimum 100/25 payment to creditors. It will be a couple of months before we exit admin so the -15 would be next season.......

L1 bound after what has been a terrific season from the manager, staff players and fans. All of the effort, all of the passion reduced to nought because of one man's recklessness, aided and abetted by an MD who seems not to have done the necessary to keep that one man in check.
Summed up perfectly, let’s never forget the effort and passion described above...hope it can be retained for the few remaining matches and rekindled at the beginning of a L1 season with a decent new owner - and no points deduction - in just a few months time.

Well to add to the conspiracy theories, its being said in various media, so believe what you wish to, that the offer does not give creditors 25p in the £1, but will be done this season so EFL pts deduction will happen this season.

I think Maddy is right in that I can't see how the club could exit administration by the end of this season, but who knows. I mean who knows IF Kirchner will actually buy the club?

The talks could still crumble and allow Ashley to throw the curveball he mentioned on RD earlier.

Hopefully the news gives the team a reaction similar to "new manager bounce" and have a positive effect on results.

.... in other news, a rotund bint is clearing her throat.

Do we actually have any proof that Ashley was actually interested?

Both he and his "people" have said at various times that he was.

Sounds like, according to online posts, CK said last night on RD that there isn't enough money being paid to avoid the -15 and that it would be deducted this season. Can they really clear all the hurdles that still need jumping in less than 5 weeks? One would hope so but I find it highly doubtful.

I've not actually heard him or his people say anything, I've seen many reports in the media, a lot of which made no mention of who had said anything on behalf of Mike Ashley and others that supposedly quoted a representative of Ashley. Maybe I'm just a cynic?

Yes I'd read or heard that aim, we shall see, I guess if all the ducks are in a row then an 8 week completion is possible? I mean when does the season officially end, after the play off final?

I mean would you pay upward sof £30 million for the club and risk a -15 pts deduction in league 1?

Still we shall see if this actually happens, not that impressed by CK at the moment, but beggars can't be choosers.
