    Cardiff City v Swansea City

Here we go then, the only highlight left of our season coming up this Saturday, playing the old enemy Cardiff.
It’s a chance for Swansea to do the double for the first time and a chance for Cardiff to get revenge for our 3-0 home win earlier in the season.
It’s not being televised here in UK, only for dark market countries on Swans TV. With both clubs languishing in the bottom half of the table there is nothing riding on the match except pride and bragging rights. Sky Sports have decided the match is not worth televising, so the 2,000 Swans fans who managed to get tickets are the lucky ones, yet it seems a low allocation amount in a 33,000 capacity stadium.
For the head-coaches it will be a chance for old teammates to meet up again, they both played in the PL for Norwich several years ago.
We know that form isn’t a factor in these fiercely fought derbies but Cardiff are in the better form recently, with both teams in a transition period.
Whereas the Swans are so inconsistent in trying to play Martin’s cavalier approach to games, possession apparently being the main target, and trying to play square pegs in round holes with players playing out of position doesn’t help.
A hard result to predict this one, I’ll go for safety and the draw.

Well I predicted a draw, how wrong can you be. When “Martinball” clicks it’s a joy to watch, like yesterday. If only we could have been more consistent this season. Looking at the highlights I didn’t see us being high-pressed by Cardiff, big mistake if so, as that is the key to unlocking us, as we have yet to work out how to counteract teams who do this with the players we’ve got.
