    Promotions and relegations

Not sure if there’s already a thread up (can’t be arsed to look tbh)

Crewe are the first club in league one to get relegated today after losing away to Donny

    Crewe Alexandra

Manager David Artell a former Miller, took the managers hot seat four & a half years ago,
taking Crewe Alexandra up to League one 2019-20 season.
The 2020-21 season saw a respectable 12th place for the side, in league one

The 2021-22 season has been a different kettle of fish for Artell, he lost 5 of his previous
seasons players to transfers to championship clubs, while not given a suitable budget to
fill the places, long term injuries, poor recruitment.

Crewe Alexandra have lost 8 games in a row, last win 12 January 2022 against Charlton
    Athletic.
Crewe Alexandra always been known as a selling club, so the directors have to take some
of the blame for the relegation, in not backing the manager with funds to fill in for players
    lost in transfers.
I hope the board will see through the mist, & keep David Artell for a new challenge in
    league two next season.

They have got a good local Derby (Grimsby) unless they go up through the play offs.
