We’re on a roll since the International break, let’s keep it going and try and win as many matches as we can and see where it takes us.
It’s Easter this weekend and two holiday matches coming up Swans v Barnsley on Friday and Reading v Swans on Monday, both 3 o’clock kick-offs. That’ll be three matches in a row against teams facing relegation.
Barnsley have had a disappointing season, even more so than ours, after we both met in last season’s play-off semi-final.
Always tough matches playing desperate sides so expect them to throw the kitchen sink at us in their attempt to claw their way out of the relegation zone.
For us we are looking to extend our unbeaten run of four wins in the last five matches.
We’re on a roll since the International break, let’s keep it going and try and win as many matches as we can and see where it takes us.

Swansea 1 Barnsley 1
Any hopes of gatecrashing the play-offs were well and truly dashed this afternoon as we struggled to continue our good run with a very poor performance reminiscent of the Birmingham draw recently.
Barnsley deserved to win, they wanted it more, fought for every ball and gave us no time to play our passing game. They hassled us into making mistakes with their high press and were quick on the counter-attack.
We looked as if we were already on the beach after a dreadful first half and it was no surprise when Barnsley took the lead. Last quarter Ntcham turned the game and scored the equaliser with a great dipping shot to the top left hand corner. The game was more open and both sides had chances, Latibeaudiere almost scored an own goal hitting the bar when he sliced a clearance.
All hope of getting to the play-offs were well and truly finished with this awful lack lustre display. If we’d won we would have been only 5 points off 6th placed Sheffield United with a game in hand, did the players realise this, it didn’t look like it.
How disappointing was that. Were the players too complacent going into this match, looked like it. We didn’t wake up until we were 0-1 down, sub Ntcham rescued us by scoring the equaliser. We’ll have to play better than that if we’re to get anything at Reading on Monday.

Well boys what happened there. Top form going into this match and what should have been a routine win for us against a team with the worst away record in the division, turned into us scraping the draw. We did come alive at the end and missed a few chances, but Barnsley should have been home and dry by then with the chances they had.
A match to forget and move on.
