    Player of the Year.

On a hopefully less contentious note it’s that time of year again.
Last time we faced relegation I seem to remember the fans voted for...themselves, the supporters.
Though they’ve been excellent in the last few months I doubt there’s any chance of that this time round.
Just about everyone has pulled their weight, but for me it’s got to be Curtis Davies...with Nathan Byrne and Ryan Allsop running him closest.
Love to see them all back at Pride Park (or whatever it’s going to be called) next season.

I'd have nominated Mel Morris, he's played you and the EFL like a set of bag pipes.

Between Davies and Lawrence for me, the Lawrence red card being the only mistake he's made all season

Fair point, Ramshank...and thanks for the sensible response as opposed to the half witted one from a Forest fan who knows nowt.

    Curtis. Cut and dried IMO.

Lawro has reacted superbly to getting the captaincy. Two off moments. The rush of blood that saw him sent off recently and the post whistle handbags earlier this season.

I'd like to give an honourable mention to Stearman who would have thought he'd get more game time than he has. When called upon he has performed better than I remember him doing so for previous clubs when playing against us. His red was correct although a fair few refs would given yellow as it was his first tackle of the game in the 3rd (?) minute of the game.

agreed on the Stearman thing and i'm surprised he hasn't played more, IMO his experience counts for more in such dire circumstances than our younger players' enthusiasm

My vote would goto 'All The Players'. With absolutely minimal exceptions, I've felt like game every one of them has earned my entrance money

They certainly did last night. Let’s get this sorted and keep as many as played last night as possible.

Taking that broader point into account, Rooney might say all of the players and the fans. I'd add him and the staff to the list. I first watched the Rams in 1961 and, not even in THAT season when the fans were Player of the Season and were also voted Fans of the Season by their peers, has there ever been more of a collective at the club....

... we're Derby County, we are what we are.
