Well, maybe more 70% true. There are many civil service roles, from admin to senior management. Some are there to help implement policy, some are there to advise on policy. Its is part of senior a civil servants role to tell c***s like Patel they are crack pots, and do what they can to advise against / block ridiculous ideas like this.

Any other civil servant who is there to aid the implementation of policy is technically there to do a job, in a neutral way. But anyone with any sense of morals and justice would exercise their rights as a worker (and a human) and make a stand against this travesty, thus helping senior civil servants block this insanity......and not lie down to threats of "you can go find another job".

But it does deflect nicely from other law breaking and throws another tory under a bus instead of the one who should be facing scrutiny.
