    Queens v Ayr United

Such a big game tomorrow for Queens and we’re going to need the crowd to not only be patient but back the boys right throughout the game. I’m reading elsewhere Ayr are bringing a big support down so we’ll need to try and play our part by being right behind the team from the start. A nervy 90 minutes awaits.

    It’s win or bust time.

Queens relegated to League One, then.
East scores at both ends in the last 10 minutes, although a bit harsh on the own goal tbh.

Actually enjoyed the game although we are relegated - chances at both ends but in our case we just have not got a goalscorer
and to be honest its been like that all season. Day somewhat spoiled by the violent scenes in Market Square after the game but on the bright side nice to see the Queens players in attendance at the New Bazaar Doonhamers P of the Y event where the winner was Wullie Gibson.

Was the attendance 2234 or something similar?
    What happened at Market Square?

For all the lack of a goal scorer talk we are as equally as bad in defence. There's a reason why we've lost 4 more games than anyone else. The defence can't keep a clean sheet.

This isn't just a unlucky season. Our plight has been coming for years.
We get nothing more than we deserve and we'll be stuck down in league one for many seasons to come unless there's a severe shake up in this club because it's no pub league down there now.

An OG was a cruel way to get relegated .. I hope to never, ever see the Cameron/ Soares partnership in this lifetime and even that will be too soon. No idea why Gibson/ Murray started these two.

The only good thing I will take out of this was the raw passion shown by the Queens crowd for their team

You are correct Deek and the stats don't lie Queens have lost more games than any other team in the league - lost more goals plus scored less goals than the others so it is devo not unlucky and The Board have huge decisions to make in the coming months as to where Queen of the South FC go forward from the mess we now find ourselves in. Personally devastated we are down but the last few seasons have been a huge struggle to stay in the Championship in all honestly.

We have deservedly went down after a really poor season. The effort of the last two games is where we should have been all season.
Ayr could have been two up before we even got going but after that we still had great chances. Paton did make a difference but has to score the chance he made or square to Lee Connolly. Junior and Cameron just aren't natural strikers but we haven't had a partnership all season that combined for each other often two guys playing for themselves. Connolly did see plenty of chances around the box but his quality was not there yesterday he does struggle out wide.I don't think the defence can take the stick for yesterday losing a cruel deflection and they have played behind a soft midfield all season. I think McGrory and Cochrane can only improve but they do need some steel beside them and McGrory in particular needs to win more tackles. As a team we are too nice.
People who think every player is gutless and every player should be emptied are living in cloud cuckoo land. Our budget again will be bettered than many even a league down. We had too big a squad this season too low on quality, height, pace and experience. The likes of Rae,East, Fitzpatrick and O'Connor will all have better offers so we will probably struggle to keep any. I hope we don't pin our hopes on the loan market again as it has been more miss than hit this season.
Lastly it has been heartening at least to see the response from the crowd to the last two games. It was really great to see so many youngsters yesterday. There still seems to be some love for Queens in Dumfries that seemed to be disappearing in the last few years. The board need to show this same passion and promote the club more. They need to be so much more visible. This would be the ideal time for some fresh blood on the board. As the old proverb says *Build it and they will come^.
