To be fair to Cormack he never mentioned Swedish crowds, just that in his opinion Scottish season ticket sales would be reduced if all games were shown live on TV/streaming. There are lots of reasons people actually go or don't go to games. I would argue that a competitive league is one of the main reasons. In Sweden there have been six different league winners in the last eleven seasons. Here it is 38 years (and counting) since a team that doesn't play at Iprix or Parkhead won the league
……and nobody’s betting that it won’t reach 50
Thank f’uck I remember the 80’s
Completely agree. I'm in my 50's and unless celtic and sevco f'uck off to another league in englandshire or some sort of European league I'm not sure I will live long enough to ever see anyone else but them two win the league. More fool me for continuing to buy a season ticket I guess.
I remember the crowds forming outside the main door, shouting Donald must go.
Yes I know he did and if in the last eleven years the SPFL had been won by a combination of Aberdeen, celtic, Dundee U (no laughing at the back please), Hertz, Hibs and sevco I am pretty sure Scottish season ticket sales would be through the roof as well, whether games were live on TV or not.
