So let's see what happens at the weekend. We're capable of defending as we've already shown this season.

As for Mulgrew, I've said numerous times he slows us down far too much with his casual strolls out of defence. Would rather have Butcher in there. Unfortunately he's gone & shown what a true team player he is though. So we're stuck with Mulgrew slowing us down and Levitt trying to be the midfield anchorman.
Mulgrew is problem we were far better with Butch in defence he has not gone he'll be back maybe even Sat

It’s nothing to do with sitting back, it’s just down to not being good enough to win games (like half the league).

I don't think it's actually to do with any one thing but all of the factors mentioned here as well as others that haven't even been thought about.

Fans like to think football is simple but it is anything but.

Mulgrew was one of our best players first half of the season but hasn't been able to sustain it since his injuries. Maybe its an age thing. I'm glad Tam is at least acknowledging the problem of us not holding leads. Summer recruitment will be crucial in the firepower department.

I can tell you for a fact that Tam has told Mulgrew that if he sees something that needs changed on the park...then he can go ahead and change it. Add to this that Charlie is also undertaking his coaching badges means I think that he is being lined up to be part of our backroom staff.
I think the Butcher situation has really unsettled the squad though...you can see in their body language that something is up.
Roll on the next transfer window and we will see if big Tony actually knows his stuff or if he is just hot air.

Butcher won't play again between now and the end of season according to Tams interview on STV news... Ffs.!!

I like your optimism, however I'd be astonished to see him playing in the same team as Benji.

This is not a new problem. Several managers have not addressed this. We never seem to get any time on the ball anywhere on the pitch regardless of who we are playing. I see no other sides allowing the opposition to stroll up to the halfway line without any of our players being near them. It does my head in as it patently doesnt work as we inevitably lose or draw so many games. We need to work much harder to match the effort every other team seems to have in stopping us play
