    Nottingham Forest v Swansea City

Next up we face the form team of the division Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Unbeaten at their place this year they are formidable opposition and are in with a chance of an automatic promotion place after Bournemouth could only draw at Swansea. They are 3 points behind Bournemouth, the same number of games played, 3 matches left and they play them away next Tuesday. Win these three games and they are promoted.
So it couldn’t be a tougher match for the Swans, but we are in a good vein of form ourselves, and unbeaten in nine matches. Hopefully Cabango is fit after going off injured on Tuesday after a late tackle on him by Lowe.
Other players took knocks as well, and Bournemouth were fouling at will with a poor referee in charge. Moore should have been sent off for an elbow to Downes face that the ref ignored, two of their players jumped into the crowd to retrieve the ball, no problem for this ref. Their players and coaches constantly complained over decisions and were over-hyped.
Water under the bridge, back to Forest, and we should have a good away following for this one, with the added spice of an ex-Swans head coach Steve Cooper and an ex-player Alan Tate in charge.
Just heard that Ben Cabango is out for the season, he’ll be a big miss.

Big blow for Swansea and Wales, Ben Cabango out for the season with an ankle injury from a late tackle by ex-Swan and Bournemouth player Jamal Lowe, I hope he apologises.

The giant 6-5 Burns has got to come in with Cabango out for the season.
Martin has already told the other contender Bennett he’s not in his plans and to find another club.
The highest paid and most experienced player at the club and he’s on gardening leave, doesn’t make sense not utilising him.

Stubborn Martin names the same defence that threw away a 3-0 lead a few days ago

Swans: Andy Fisher, Joel Latibeaudiere, Kyle Naughton, Ryan Manning, Cyrus Christie, Flynn Downes, Matt Grimes (c), Hannes Wolf; Joel Piroe, Cameron Congreve, Michael Obafemi.
Subs: Ben Hamer, Jay Fulton, Korey Smith, Olivier Ntcham, Jamie Paterson, Nathanael Ogbeta, Kyle Joseph.

    And it backfired big time
    Forest 5 - Swans 1
Nine goals conceded in our two matches against Cooper’s Forest, hugely embarrassing.

Cooper inherited a team bottom of the table and they will be in the PL next season.
Martin inherited a team who had made the play-offs in successive seasons and turned them into a bunch of flops, almost doubling the amount of goals conceded.

RM “We don’t have a big team at this moment in time and in the second half against Bournemouth and again here today it has shown what we lack in terms of height, power and athleticism.“ - no sh..t Sherlock, you picked the team.

Well boys that was truly awful again. I feel sorry for the 1400 JA that travelled up to watch that.
Knowing we would get murdered in the air he picks the same short defensive three that were mullered by Bournemouth.
Ex-Swan Surridge, who was no great shakes when he was here, had a field day and scored a hat-trick because of Martin’s naivety and stubbornness with his rigid system and his favouring certain players.
If he is to survive into next season then the whole defence needs revamping, but how do we bring in players with no investment from our absent owners? If we sell our best players to fund incomings we’ll go further backwards than Martin has already taken us from last season.
He has moulded us into a lower half Championship team.
