    Something To Ponder

Taking into account the results tonight , that late own goal last week was a real killer. IF we had held out for a 1-0 win , Queens would have identical points (35) with Dunfermilne and have exactly the same goal difference ( 36 for and 53 against) . Our head to head record is better than the Pars and that would have secured us a play off spot instead of them .

I was thinking the same, but wasn't sure how the positions would be decided seeing that we could have had identical points, goals for and against. All what ifs and buts I guess but football can be so cruel.

Fine margins but relegation was always coming. If it wasn't for the season ending due to COVID we would probably already be down there.
Wouldn't be surprised if Dunfermline join us.

I have seen terrible relegated Qos teams and this isn't one of them. Admiittently the forward options have been poor but there are fine players in this squad and I hope the one's I want to stay do so.

Have to share with you that I have been waking up in terrible night sweats since last Saturday with the vision of Paton firing an inch by the post and Connolly waiting for a tap in at the far post.

That fact we didn’t have a decent goal scoring forward has relegated us IMO.
Like JRS has said this is nowhere near as bad a side as we’ve seen being relegated before.
I’m actually now looking forward to league 1 and playing some different teams for a change.
Going to be tough but nothing is easy in football.

Seven points from nine in the last 3 matches of the season and still be relegated by an own goal is hard to take but in my opinion the Board should have pulled out all the stops to get shot of Johnston before they did - that and the lack of even a half decent striker had us playing catch up but to no avail. Roll on the new season and to the players leaving Palmy good luck in your careers.
