I thought there was a rule like that in the EFL, but Forest are only giving Sheff U 2,000 tickets, obviously not. Tbh I’d be amazed if there was in the NL, a lot of games aren’t even segregated.

The title comes down to the last game then, with Stockport winning tonight.

It’s quite remarkable that one of the two will not get automatically promoted even though they will have reached 2ppg.

To finish on at least 88 points (could well be 91 points) in a 44 game season just shows how tough this league has been this season.

One of the two could be denied automatic promotion on goal difference. There can only be one league title winner. Whichever one misses out will they have the heart and fight left to go for two more games?

Fascinating final day fixtures, because Stockport and Wrexham both face teams with something to play for.

The best odds of 1/7 Stockport and 9/1 Wrexham offer a rare chance to make profit whoever wins.

I am pretty sure I read somewhere that Wrexham have finished on 90-something points in this division before and lost in the playoffs. it is ridiculous one may be down here next season, both of those teams would cruise in league 2 but rules are rules.

Missed out with 98 pioints (NINETY EIGHT) in 2011/12........

    1. Fleetwood T. 46 31 10 5 102 48 +54 103
    -----------------------------------------------------
    2. Wrexham 46 30 8 8 85 33 +52 98
    3. Mansfield T. 46 25 14 7 87 48 +39 89
    4. York City 46 23 14 9 81 45 +36 83
    5. Luton Town 46 22 15 9 78 42 +36 81
    -----------------------------------------------------
    6. Kidderminster 46 22 10 14 82 63 +19 76
    7. Southport 46 21 13 12 72 69 +3 76

Does this mean 2011/12 was a harder or more competitive league than today?

I should add that York got promoted in the play offs that season, despite finishing 15 points behind Wrexham who lost to Luton in the two leg semi-final.

Other clubs who've missed out with 90 plus in tier 5 this century.

Hereford - 91 pts in 2004 (Shrewsbury went up via POs with 74 pts)
    Kidderminster - 93 pts in 2013
    Tranmere - 95 pts in 2017

Hereford also finished 2nd the following season and missed out again, they were 2nd for a 3rd successive season and that time managed to win the POs and went on to spend a season in the 3rd tier before crashing down into oblivion.
