Alex Cairns was signed for the Millers by Neil Redfearn on a 12 month contract, but
left the Millers after 6 months, to sign for Fleetwood Town.

I remember Junior Hoilet signing free for Cardiff(Warnock) and he played straight away..............

What is interesting is teams are starting to do their business early, we cannot be doing our business at the end of january that is 4 matches that is 8.7% of the season, we have to strengthen our frontline. For me we need two players out and 4 players in and no loss of Barlasar and Wiles, we need to see that the board back MT and MT needs to see he is being backed. I am not proposing we do silly things with the finances but we cannot expect to stay up if we do not invest and back the manager, this is NOT his squad. It needs to be a good window and it needs to start early, we might have to take a few risks, like Watford have done with bacuna a free agent (I know about wages and budgets), obviously working at the finance level we can.Originally Posted by avondalemiller

Fleetwood Town ------ Sign 22 year old goalkeeper David Harrington, on a 3 year contract
Harrington was at Cork City, out of contract in October 2022, when the Irish league season
ended.
Everton came in for Harrington, agreeing a compensation fee to Cork City, while the player
was under contract, but a bad shoulder injury. with surgery to follow stopped the transfer
going through.
Harrington officially signs on the 1st January 2023, but is getting treatment at Fleetwood Town.
