Irvine, Smith, Reynolds, Considine, Severin etc would all suggest not. Even last season it was allocated to Comrade Mikey Devlin.

The end product of Jonny Hayes lets him down, but he has still been a great player for us. If he had the final ball to match his work rate, energy and committment he would have been playing at a far higher level than us. He was only ever signed by Celtic to weaken us rather than strengthen them.

I’d say Celtic signed Hayes as a squad player but I don’t agree it was to weaken us although it obviously did. We were no threat to Celtic by that time , we never laid a glove on them during the Brendan Rogers era other than running them close in the 2017 Scottish Cup Final. We were far more of a threat to them during Ronny Delia’s time.

IF we have to bring in loan / borrowed players at least this is better than from teams in same league.
Just hope doing this doesnt prevent any home grown talent getting chance in team.

Seen it said that the boy was brought in specifically as a stand=in for Connor Barron ?

Big shoes to fill , going on his last performance for the Scotland U21s . Looked like he ran the game , and was/is going to be a big big player for us whenever he gets back.


But this loaning of players from competition. Booo. Means we will be a man down when we play Liverpool, eh ?
