And you could argue finishing 3rd with Solihull Moors is a particularly impressive achievement, given their resources relative to ours. He deserves credit.

We might get considerably bigger crowds than Solihull, but I am not convinced they have any less resources than we do. Some of their recent signings suggest they are definitely one of the bigger spending NL clubs.

Grimsby fans already moaning on their forum and on Twitter about Notts giving them "only" 2,000 tickets.

Sod em, I just hope that's as many as we had to give them. We finished 5th and they didn't, if we don't want to give them any more than that's our right. Even more so after the disorder that followed their last visit.

They can't complain about the allocation they should learn to behave like civilised members of society. There is no place in for it in the modern game. We are a family club. Besides why should we give them an advantage by letting them fill the Jimmy Sirrell.

The thing is if we do get to the semi-final then the tables will be turned and Wrexham might only give us the bare minimum allocation as they won't want the advantage of a crowd from Nottingham. I would suspect we could quite easily take 4000-5000.

Wrexham did their part in taking it to the final game, keeping Stockport honest so they'd have to beat Halifax.
Regretably, we didn't do our part. A result at lowly Aldershot with a fuller-strength team would have had us above them (not to mention the Halifax games themselves).

Forget about 3rd, what about 4th. How much better do posters think our chances would be with Chesterfield (H) Solihull (A) rather than Grimsby (H) Wrexham (A)?

If I hadn't added eventually I would have been wrong Predicted Stockport top, Notts 5th, they stumbled a little but they didn't self destruct, implode or choke as often mentioned. We didn't stumble at all and as KTD bravely stated we would go on a great run and finish where we have.

4th would have been a lot better IMO far more likely to reach the final but we finish where we deserve to finish. And it's a lot better than if we had to face Grimsby away first up.
