Although Im not a fan of pre season friendlies, never have I seen a more boring set in my life and I hope the benefits of hosting the EUROS out weigh the lack of home preparation and game time at the NYS.

Parkgate FC is usually a good day out and puts funds into a local non league club.

I don't read too much into friendlies, as long as we don't pick up any long term injuries like what's happened before.
They are what they are.... friendlies.

Why are all out friendliest against division two teams ?

Is this the right preparation for games in the championship ? Is this a deliberate move ? Will we be undercooked for next season ? Personally I liked to play teams above our status, to test the team out under severe pressure ! time will tell !

It’s because all of the Evo-Stik North teams had already arranged their schedule

MT, no thanks pal. I wouldn’t like to see another 7-0 thrashing by Man City. How demoralising would that be to the players?

Let them have less challenging games with goal’s aplenty to help boost morale and confidence.
