    What...and Saville didn’t? They did ‘unhonour’ him anyway didn’t they? Didn’t they do the same to that little fat bloke who used to own Topman, Topshop and Burtons...or have I dreamt that.

    I think Saville was a life peer, and his transgressions were determined after he had died, and so he was no longer a peer? Hence nothing to forfeit, which just seems wrong

    Wasn't he also a knight of the realm?

    A life peerage is a knighthood! Google confirms that JS title ceased on his death so no title to forfeit

    Amazingly Savile was awarded the OBE back in 1971 when ‘Teddy’ (Heath) fixed it for Jim.
    He also received a Papal Knighthood, whatever one of those is, before Maggie fixed it for Jimmy to be knighted (Sir Pervert?) in the early ‘90’s.

    MM was given the more prestigious CBE in 2017 via the Queen’s birthday honours list. He also received an Honorary Doctorate from Derby University.

    Just goes to show...great choices.
