    Vangelis RIP.

Chariots Of Fire theme tune is an absolute classic and I’ve always loved “I’ll Find My Way Home” with Jon Anderson of Yes as well.

Reminds me of Xmas 82 when I was working at Hepworth Menswear in Solihull, just one of those silly songs that takes me right back to that time.

He looks a bit like Dudley Moore. Talking of which remember the film Arthur and the song really well!

Who remembers the alternative music intro to the Embassy world snooker Championship from the Crucible?

It was a piece by Vangelis "to the unknown man"

He was right up there with John Barry, John Williams and Ennio Morricone.

Chariots Of Fire theme tune on the link below is a wonderful piece of music Des but for me The Good The Bad And The Ugly by Morricone is by far the greatest film score ever written.

I watched that film again for about the hundredth time last week and never tire of it, I always seem to discover something I’d never previously noticed.

Eastwood at his peak and Eli Wallach absolutely masterful as the villain, one of the best film villains and supporting performances of all time for me.

Chariots was great, okay stuff in Blade Runner but for me not in the class of the ones mentioned by 1955, I’d say Hans Zimmer easily goes into that category though
