    Pitch Invasions.

Starting to become both dangerous and tiresome now.

Port Vale last night being the latest.

Forest the other night with Billy Sharp being head butted by that shaven headed moron who’s got himself a six month jail sentence.

Anybody entering the playing area before every player and official has left the scene should get a fine and a ten year ban.

If this isn’t better policed a player or ref is going to end up dead soon.

Totally 100% agree! This country is too soft and anyone entering the pitch should know exactly what penalty they will face as you would speeding if caught!

The problem is, how are you going to stop mass pitch invasions without going back to fences, which I would hate to see. You can't prosecute every single fan and by prosecuting a few it unfortunately won't deter others. Some are suggesting reducing attendances but how will that stop it? It's a real problem. I supposing penalising clubs by forcing them to play behind closed doors is a possible answer.

We ourselves have entered the pitch but only after players have departed from memory.

We usually get stark warnings over the tannoy about not encroaching the playing area with players present.

Our lot have always left the pitch once players have reappeared upon request.

Celebrating after a semi final win always seems to be asking for trouble in my mind.

No problem with pitch invasions so long as they're not used as an excuse to abuse/assault players, staff or opposition supporters etc.

Attended our U23 final with the Dings the other night. Their players were still on the pitch when our supporters went on but to the best of my knowledge none of them were targeted for abuse of any kind.

Unlike a pitch invasion down the road a few years ago following an FA Cup quarter final where Albion players were clearly targeted by encroaching supporters of the other lot.

I've been on the pitch at the Shrine a few times and never felt the need to threaten or abuse anyone. That's because I'm not a dickhead.
