Other than Morris none of our strikers diid anything last season.
Even the favourite of some of the fans, Woodrow, had yet another poor season.

But I think Cole has something that could be useful next season - he is the only striker we have that’s got any real speed.
Further down the leagues there is more dependence on strikers that have either upper body strength or speed.
We have only one striker with upper body strength - who unfortunately is prone to injury - and that’s Morris.
And only one striker with any speed over the grass - and that’s Cole.

All the other senior strikers - Victor, Leya, Woodrow and Obbi should IMO be allowed to leave.
I don’t think we would get much money for the lot of them - but it would release more space in the squad for others.

It's no good having speed without the ability to find the back of the net. Cole could be decent at league 1 level but personally I'd get rid of him and stick with Woodrow who is proven and whose record speaks for itself.

    We’ve had this debate before.
This is what I see while watching Woodrow:

No speed to get passed a player.
Poor distribution when he receives the ball.
Below average header of the ball.
Easily and consistently muscled off the ball.
    Excellent penalty taker.
    Average fox in the box.
Had a good season at the side of Kieffer Moore in Division 1.

Other clubs - especially those using stats will see this.
The inability to keep hold of the ball when it’s played up to him will stand out.
I can see him going to a club like Luton or Blackpool next season.
But - as always - it’s all about opinions.

Why would then two clubs who have just had very good season's in the championship be interested in Cauley Woodrow if he's the amount of flaws you point out ?

I personally think it's a vendetta that's driving your Woodrow opinion YN .

    Am I right ?

Why would any football supporter have a vendetta against a player ?
Believe me when I say that I wish Woodrow had scored 25 goals last season and proved me wrong.
And if he stays next season then fingers crossed he proves me wrong.
I want all our players to be as good as possible - and I’m sure all supporters think the same.

    I’m not singling out Woodrow.
IMO - which other players had a good season:

    The two goalkeepers did.
None of the centre backs did.
None of the midfielders other than Wolfe, Vita and Gomes.
None of the forward line other than Morris.

But - we have past evidence to know that players like Helik, Mads and Styles have it in them to be good Championship players.

How on earth was he going to score 25 goals when we didn't even create enough chances in the whole season and he had a knee injury in December and didn't come back until April .

    Nudger

If tha can point out what more Devante Cole brings to the table than Cauley Woodrow then we'll start talking.

I thought I'd mention Leya Iseka too while we're on the subject. This lad showed glimpses of quality last season and will have settled in after being here a year. He might just be one who creeps under the radar and if he starts on a consistent basis from August and he might just surprise a few people.
