    Interesting:

Everton say that Covid-19 losses over the past two seasons amount to £170m.

Earlier this week, Newcastle posted Covid-19 losses of £40m over the past two seasons, while Aston Villa said theirs amounted to £56m.

Any fines or deductions in points will be applied next season.

These are the rules that ALL premier league teams signed up to.

It's a similar situation to the West Ham situation signing illegal player in Tevez and Mascherano saw Sheffield get relegated and WH survive. Legal action went no where because of the Prem rules.

Also they have until the end of the tax year to balance the books.

So selling DKL etc is the only way they can avoid fines.

Nothing will happen because if it did, then people want to look at the Prem's darling top 6 and they'll never let that happen, or even potentially happen.

Do Leeds and Burnley not realize any points deduction would happen next season? It seems strange two of Everton's relegation rivals would threaten legal action

    Paragraphs from BBC article…

“Everton say that Covid-19 losses over the past two seasons amount to £170m, which can be deducted from their total.

But that figure has caused surprise among some Premier League teams because it dwarfs clubs of a similar size

Earlier this week, Newcastle posted Covid-19 losses of £40m over the past two seasons, while Aston Villa said theirs amounted to £56m.”

So, not sure it is a case of them having this FY to balance the books… they are making obvious bull**** claims to mask they have overspent, so I wouldn’t rule it out.

Hopefully we can stir the pot and mention that if other clubs aren’t following the rules then we can expect the same response 😉
