Do not criticize Sue Gray for agreeing to a meeting with Boris Johnson a month ago. It would be very bad mannered to make such criticism of the future Baroness Gray.

A spokesperson for the Prime Minister has stated that he (the Prime Minister) did nor ask for the meeting. A spokesperson for Sue Gray has said that she (Sue Gray) did not ask for a meeting.

Maybe Sue Gray and the Prime Minister just happened to bump into each other in a corridor and decided to immediately have a private meeting.

Could it possibly be that the Sue Gray report was discussed? No, perish the thought. I reckon that in the meeting they discussed only gardening. Or it could be that they spent all the time shagging?

It is not for us to speculate or for the various media to ask questions about this meeting. I am sure that there will be an enquiry and thus we will be told of the meeting in a year's time at a press conference in the House Of Lords, presented by Baroness Gray. Then Boris Johnson, the former Prime Minister, will say that he was never told of any meeting and it was sheer luck that he did attend it but only for 2 minutes.

I see that Downing Street are now admitting that they did ask for the meeting. Sue Gray is probably now next in line for the throne.

This is yet again another case of the Prime Minister wanting something to happen and ordering a member of his staff to make the request for it to happen. Thus he will for ever be able to say that the request for a meeting was not done by him. Dedicated fans of him will no doubt regard this as clever but a clear headed person will regard it as piss poor.
